about

Coup D'état: Noun.
an overthrow of power by either seizure or force: a sudden decisive exercise of force in politics; especially : the violent overthrow or alteration of an existing government by a small group.

"Radio Coup D'état" is the calling to arms of underground music artists against mundane, contented pop music that has usurped talent with manufactured drivel and conformity.

The Ramones said it best; "We Want The Airwaves", and this is our outcry to take them back, by force AND seizure.

lyrics

RADIO COUP D'ETAT

v1
Turn on my radio; what is this trash‽
...And critics today all call it a smash???
Whatever happened to the Rock and Roll,
Shredding the airwaves, with freedom of toll?

(Chorus)
Sick and tired, of living in exile,
Banished to the underground for musical style.
Time to stand proud, and FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT!
Because, radio salvation is here...TONIGHT!

...Radio Coup D'état!

v2
Rock and Roll greats all roll in their graves,
From the musical blasphemy made today.
What ever happened to the freedom of speech?
It seems to me, our first amendment grew bleak.

Chorus
